The Austrian Congress of Vienna
After the Battle of Leipzig, Franz and his cabinet ministers convened the Congress of Vienna. The Habsburgs played host to this grand meeting which attempted to restore balance of power. A lot of the negotiation in the Congress took place at balls, with grand orchestral music. Austria was able to gain the French occupied areas of Italy and the Balkans.
