In Genesis 3.15, God promises that he will bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel. That's the announcement that keeps them moving forward. They're living east of Eden now. Their work and their existence is common, not holy. What's holy is this promise and they're a church. And that church is moving forward into history, kept alive by a word, a word of promise.
