The Problem With Common Sensibility
We bring with us so much intellectual baggage from where we've come from. Too often our thinking is based on common sense, or Christian urban legend rather than on Scripture. We not only refuse to trust the wisdom of our age in doing theology, we also refuse to trust our own common sense. And that's really bound up with the Bible's word for repentance - metanoia. It's about letting God's word judge everything we think.
