B2B Marketing in Five Years?
I don't think that there will be a B2B marketing in five years. Most companies will divide the function into logical groups which include revenue R&D product and category strategy, then move the operational component into a centralized function called RevOps. When you do that you're going to have a lot more clarity on what each function does and what their responsibilities are. It's something that I have a lot of passion for because I've seen how organizational structures break with the current marketing set up so you know it's early but I'm looking forward to pioneers that are going to try this and join along with what I'm doing.
