A number of people find a decent amount of synergy, if you will, where they feel like the practice might reinforce each other. And so epic teetuses training program is meant, in my view, to be built upon. It builds upon itself. You start with desire and move on from there. A Buddhism desire cutting off desire to its root is something that happens very late at practice, and it's done a very different way than how the Buddhists tend to do desire. The reason why I harmonize them is probably half historical accident, and half that the early formulation of Buddhism that resonated most with me was missing a key component of socialization.
