What Drew You to the New Testament?

In my graduate studies, i was doing somea research on the tora reading cycle. And in particular, there's a part of the annual a tor reading cycle with some of the festivals, is alluded to in pilo,. So it's pre christian. And so that part of the tor readng cycle caught my attention because those tor passages and the the haftorat the prophets passages thatre read together each week. Did an investigation to see if the, the use of those two together within the ancient synagogue circles might have caused some of those texts to be read together in the new testament.
