Is Software Development an Activity Using Skill?

Mel Robbins: I really wanted to learn C++ templating and generic. And the software did work. All the tests passed. It's just that the code inside was incredibly complicated. So the interesting question is whether or not building that software, I was being a craftsman or a craft person or an artist or an engineer or just a dick. That's my own personal story of Mel as it were. But yeah, but you know what? I think it's worthwhile to actually look at the dictionary definition of the term craft in Google.
