Lee Iguiang used Mr. T's phone, ID and credit card to get about $50,000 in the form of a loan. He would then send messages to his victims' families pretending that he was still alive. Lee also took Tara out to dine at the most expensive restaurants; they even did a staycation at a five-star hotel. Police uncovered another creepy piece of the puzzle when they found contracts for an apartment signed by a woman who wasn't living there.
