The Evolution of Animal Size in the Roman Empire
In the neolithic animals are generally of large size, especially cattle who won't feel very well this trend of size change over time. But in cows, we see that there is a size decrease from the neolithic up to the iron age - they are becoming smaller and smaller. And then in Roman times, we see a size increase all over Europe. This only happens within the empire, not outside, but this size increase only happens in the conquered territories.
