Miles Morales is one of my favorite characters in comics. I love the character, although they've never really given him to a decent black writer or group of black creators. With that movie, I think that movie worked because it was just a good movie,. Like they, they really honed in on making Miles feel authentic and his neighborhood felt authentic.
