Modern humans outside of Africa are one lineage that goes back about 70, 80,000 years ago. One branch seems to have gone outward further and mixed with Neanderthals. That branch spread all the way into Australia, East Asia, and Europe. And there was another branch, probably the Middle East that doesn't seem to have mixed with Neandertha. These were non Africans as well,. Later they expanded again in the Middle East drop the Middle Eastern Neanderthal proportion. They also expanded into Europe and Central Asia and to some extent South Asia and drop the Neanderthal proportion too. Okay. Now we're taken from Asia. We just need to align the genome with the specimens right.
