When someone gets attacked from a specific ip address, wouldn't it be nice if your network new to automatically block traffic from that known malicious ip address? Well, crowd sec is exactly that, a security engine which blocks unwonted behaviors like port or web scans and cross sight scripting. When an ip address is found intruding into your server, it's shared throughout the community in order to block it globally. Since sharing means carrying, their solution is open source and free.
