Gumbo - The First Album I Made in New Orleans

Gumbo was my first album made in new orleans. I think it was the timing, because i hadn't done it before. There is a unique kind of joy and freedom that characterizes new orleans music though isn't there elsewhere. You know, we've been lucky to speak to people like alan ta baptus and John john over the years. It's just the way we get through things yet still celebrate them even when they die.
