Comparative Strategy - Is There a Better Way?
The problem is, of course, just because we can point out what a bad comparison looks like doesn't mean people stop comparing. They just keep on comparing. And so if intellectuals and professors stop talking about comparison, people are just going to keep doing it in these ways that are problematic. So my argument for a decade or so is that no, we have to bring back comparison. But there is definitely a better way of phenomenologically examining what's being discussed here.
