Third, the materials of the temple should be three layers of stone and one of timber. Fourth, the project would be funded by the persian royal treasury. And fifth, the vessels that were taken by nebuchadnezzar were to be returned. Derick thomas notes the importance of the fact that the project was funded by a gentile power,. suggesting a connection with hage chapter two, verse seven: "And i will shake all nations"
