The Evolution of the Brain
We've evolved brains that can comprehend the unintuitive, let's say. But we can't visualize in our minds more than three dimensions. We seem to be provided with a kind of abstract mathematics that lets us understand what a 12-dimensional sphere is without being able to grokett. So we seem to have this adaptable ability to be able to use abstract reasoning to understand things that we will not evolve to understand. It's only because we live in a much more benign world that physicists can survive.
