What's Going On? Is It Biblical?
The Bible doesn't give us a single clear political theology. Just because someone is trying to be biblical, there's no intrinsic reason to show reverence to the nation or to the state. It simply doesn't stand up. And so Christians who appeal to the Bible will invariably privilege one set of passages over another.
