Do you think that any of the major ideas and stoicism or like western philosophy was inspired by psychedelic experiences? It's hard to say i mean in marx's case i would say well no it wasn't for the simple reason that these ideas already existed long before you come along. We're earlier philosophers inspired by mystical experiences that's really a kind of unanswerable question as well but what we can say is that there's certainly some kind of sympathetic relationship between the early greek mystery religions which used fasting and drugs um to induce all the states of consciousness.
