Methylated spirits is a mixture of normal ethanol and methanol. It's used to clean paint brushes and stuff like that, it's very much a paint stripper. The aspartame in a can of diet coke breaks down to about 18 milligrams. So the UK government estimates the average person gets about one gram a day from food. And you're not like going blind from that, are you? Well, speak for yourself, Tom. As always with these things, the dose makes the poison.
