The Kindness and the Seriousness of God

For the Jews, it could be despair and anger, but for the Gentiles, it was arrogance and pride. Paul wants to call our attention in verse 22 to how we can protect ourselves from that. It's the kindness of God that draws us to repentance. And yet, the severity of God outside of faith keeps us in our faith.
