I think dentistry itself has some cultural issues within it that it needs to address, like being very sober about what is health. There are financial incentives for dentists as business owners to sell treatments that patients want to buy. If a system is set up so that you can't get the information that you need from the experts, and those experts don't have all the right information to begin with, then that system is broken.
