The Importance of Practicality in Making Soft Synthesizers

The process of making stuff so much is about suspending reality and it's about, you know, kind of a magic time. If the thing gives you a feeling, if you're playing a 100 year old guitar, it's not about the gear. I think that's why, especially for, there's so many amazing soft synths and virtual instruments and recreations of,. There's new stuff and there's recreations of old things. You can do all this stuff in the computer, but at the very least I feel like I need some hands-on knobs and faders to like, and it tricks me.
