The Mind of a Bee
Lars Chitka is Professor of Sensory and Behavioral Ecology at Queen Mary University of London. He also composes music and performs as his alternative rock band the Killer Bee Queens. We discovered that bees can count, that they can recognise images of human faces and they're able to use objects in a manner that's equivalent to tool use. These extraordinary skills aren't confined to bees that have been trained in the lab.
