The Rise and Fall of the PCUSA
New York City was again creating controversy for Presbyterians. Two candidates for ordination refused to affirm the virgin birth. This challenge came to a head in 1925 at the PCUSA's General Assembly. A key finding of the report was that conservatives had made unfair and unproven accusations against liberal ministers.
