Payment for Orderflow - What Will It Mean for Robin Hood?
robin hood is not profitable at all, and it suffered its biggest loss so far in the first quarter of a staggering one point four billion dollars. In 20 20 a full 75 % of its top line revenue came from the practice. Imagine how much it would impact on profitability if this income stream was curtailed. Any new regulation of or any bands on it, may result in reduced profitability, increased compliance costs and expanded potential for negative publicity. Apart from these obvious risks to its main method of making money, there's also the question of its continued pofitability.
