Ray Charles Cover - Is This Really Good?
There are a lot of reallequal covers of this song. ray charles cover is particularly interesting because it's a contemporary cover, as opposed to one done years later. This was just a couple of years after this song came out. The beetles wuld be the first to tell you that they owed a lot to the african American musical tradition in particular. And i think it's actually really interesting to hear him take one of their songs and flip it back to them.

On the second edition of "Strong Covers," we're digging into covers of three Beatles classics: Earth, Wind & Fire's maximalist remake of "Gotta Get You Into My Life," Ray Charles' saucy reimagining of "Eleanor Rigby," and Bobby McFerrin's delicate recitation of "Blackbird." Come for the English-accented rhyme schemes, stay for the impeccable voice leading.
