Democrats on Crime and Safety - Should They Be Thinking That They Are?

Democrats have always, at least as long as I've been alive, in the 70s and 80s and 90s and aughts, have always been seen as being soft on crime. Voters have less faith in Democrats on crime and safety issues than they do Republicans. Public safety has been this thing that has been, we need more police and more prisons in order to have public safety.
