Shanty Tones: The Forgotten Surrey
In 2010, Alonso Carney Ser and Sara Gremel made a documentary called Shanty Tones the Forgotten Surrey. They had been working for many years on subjects related to immigration that arrived in Barcelona over the 20th century. And we became aware that housing had been a very major question for the people who arrived. We saw that more and more people were saying, yes, when I arrived, I had to live in a shanty in a huts which were built anywhere in the city because there was no housing.
