The trusted news initiative was set up in theory to counter Russian disinformation and intrusion into elections. In 2019 it was transformed into also focusing on those that were spreading vaccine disinformation and causing vaccine hesitancy. If you're saying things which are different from what the WHO or the CDC says, you are defined now by our Department of Homeland Security as a spreader as a domestic terrorist. The TNI rules are that anybody who is saying such things should be censored, de-platformed, etc. But they allow a little backdoor. Members of the TNI are allowed to write articles that cross those lines, but they're not allowed to syndicate them.
