The easier a virus is to be transferred from one person to the next, the more likely a strain is to become dominant. And un parallel to these mutations in the virus, there are changes in humans. People's immunity is dropping. This lack of protection is also raising the number of new cases. But at least so faro, people are not getting extremely sick since their bodies have other powerful defences that protect them against severe disease and death.
