The Marshmallow Challenge
The Marshmallow Challenge is a challenge to build the tallest tower possible in 18 minutes. It was invented by Autodesk's Tom Wujek, and it teaches us about how business school teaching differs from that of kindergarten children. Kindergarteners don't really have any preconceived notions until they've built their structure. For MBAs, none of their plans account for the marshmallow being heavy because they don't go like kindergartners do.
