The Disability Experience in Space
When I was a postdoc in the previous job, I was involved with some space research. We were looking at the muscle on wasting after six months on the International Space Station. And that obviously being an engineer, I started thinking there are quite a lot of things happening in space to the human body. So it's always been the back of my mind. When I joined Kings, I found out there is a strong tradition of Kings about aerospace research. And I believe then the disability experience could be a lot lower if not becoming even an advantage in some cases with specific disabilities.
