If a mining company operating in somewhere like Mali had the choice of hiring someone like Wagner to just set up a 5K radius of solid defense around the mine site, is that an option these mining companies may approach? "Letting the whole country burn just so you can continue pumping things out of the ground doesn't always going to be your best option," he says.
