The Differences Between English, Scottish and Northern Ireland Student Loans

Wales doesn't have a parental contribution. Wales does an assessment of household income and then it says the split between what is a repairable loan and a non-repairable grant depends on family income. But you always get the same total income in Wales. It's just whether you repay it or not that depends on familyincome. There are no grants in the English system, there are in the Scottish Welsh and Northern Irish system. You know, there are differences in each part and ultimately Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, they're not changing. They don't have the big substantive change that you're seeing. Your system is the one that's changing.
