What I Learned From Bridgewater and Drevin

i've always been on a journey, from the late eighties til till to day, in comparing systematic trading strategies with a discretionary trading strategy. A discretionary trader is analogue. Sees the world as it is in its full vibrantty color, depth and focus. And so doesn't any problem with missing dots that he just hadn't gote around to putting in the systematic, guypicilated picture. I've been thinking about that my entire air career. Watching bridgewater build the picelated way to trade markets in a purely systematic way was probably the biggest learn things i had in working at those firms.
