Mental health has very little to do with your mind and much to do with what your autonomic nervous system is doing or not doing in response to the environment. Often what we call pathology are our brains doing exactly what the brains were designed to do. That doesn't mean you should be resigned to it, but it does help to know, Hey, your brain's doing what a brain supposed to do,. which is conserve energy; try to get to autopilot.
