The FDA didn't like the fact that there are all these different companies making algorithms, mostly academic groups back then. And so they evolved their thinking to say, okay, now let's allow a certain type of pump to not only talk to any one of these CGM's and integrate with them. That was my initial intent, and that's why I was working so closely with Abbott. But when you start working with the med tech industry, they can become quite capricious.
