It's not just people with medical conditions who have a hard time being understood by this tec. It's also challenging for those with accents and dialects. The challenge really is going to be, how do we make sure that that gap in performance doesn't remain wide or get wider as we span larger population segments? Even if we're able to solve the speech diversity problem, there's still the issue of massive amounts of training data needed to build reliable, universal systems.
