The Scale of a CPU

When you hear it's a five nanometer process, it doesn't mean that anything on that chip actually measures five nanometers in size. It's a way of indicating this process is more advanced than the previous seven nanometer process. So when you get down to the process and the architecture, you start to converge on essentially the same meaning.
