The Detection of Gravitational Waves by the LIGO Instrument
The great red spot, by the way, that's its actual name. Also people mix it up sometimes with the great dark spot, which was near Jupiter's northern pole. The detection of gravitational waves by the LIGO instrument, um, was probably the biggest discovery in physics in my lifetime. And this, this can be a problem too. Like when I give talks, I have to be prepared for anything.
