Is the ECB Really a Governing Body?

The European Central Bank is the key actor in this story. And I think it's fair to say it probably makes the same observations we do, but it places more concerns on this unanchoring of inflation expectations. But before we get into all that and your critique of their view for the American listeners, like myself, might be useful just to go over some of the basics. So the ECB has a governing council. There's six members of the executive board. And then there's 19 governors from the member countries. They all they come together and they meet it's like the FOMC. The rate setting body of the ECB.
