Medical racism spun a different narrative about the pain and illnesses of women of color. The misbelief that white women, who have access to colonial, uno leisurely colonial treats, are very refined and they're capable of feeling all this pain. Women of colour were the defusi was perpetuated that they were invulnerable to pain. And we see it as well in the woeful rates of maternal mortality in both us. A deeply embedded idea in our culture is the sexist notion that men are the “default” human, and women the unknowable “other".
