Is There a Claiming of Classical Figures in France?

There's a perception which I've encouraged myself as well that in France there isn't this cancellation of the classic figures. But there is at least one very telling example where that British, American, Western, let's say anglosphere habit of rampaging through the past and canceling figures is happening in France it seems. Well that's interesting. I haven't met any French who called for this. Did you read an argument against Voltaire? There's quite a lot out there.
