The Differences Between Singular and Plural

There are some languages where it makes more sense to speak of non-plural and plural. For example Dixon says that Turkish an unmarked stem is indefinite as to number. The dual the trial etc are typically more marked. Also one thing that you can see is like you often will see dual and trial historically derived from two and three. And even in systems where you have dual trial and pocko you end up with like dual is derived from two, trial is derived from three and then pocko is derived from four which maybe something that misleads people into thinking there's a quadrall sometimes.
