The Evolution of Sloths
There's two different kinds of sloths, two-fingered and three-fingered. Sloths are actually the most extreme example of convergent evolution in mammals. They don't evolve similarly because they have a common ancestor. Scientists think sloths have been evolving separately for at least 40 million years.
