Is There a Need for Industrialization?

There's a thesis that is floating on, maybe the populis left in the populist write. That there may be some necessary reshoring of key industries. This would reverse one part of the trend of globalization. But i think it's entirely possible, from what i've seen of the data so far, it hasn't happened yet. The most strategically interesting industries don't get built overnight. Building a fabrication place to build these things is incredibly expensive.
