The Cat Collapses the Wave Function
For us outside of the box where we have like zero information exchange, the cat is still alive and dead to us. That's a specific interpretation of quantum mechanics. Carlo Raveli would totally agree with you because he's a proponent of relational quantum mechanics. He thinks collapse is not a universal thing. You can only collapse for some observers and not yet for others. Even people who believe in Copenhagen interpretation, I think would disagree about what's happening in this experiment.
