The number and rate of our wars between countries has declined since some of kant's great suggestions, such as a community of nations. The calling out a beneficial trends is not a prophecy of the future. It would be only a charlatan to say that there won't be catastrophes. But what you can say is that the measures of human well being have improved. That is not a guarantee that things won't get worse,. but it certainly gives you a different picture of the world than if those same measures had declined or remained constant.
