Why Is It Important for Catholics to Know the Old Testament?
Marcin Knight is co-authoring a book with Jeff Cavens called Catholic guide to the Old Testament. He says many Catholics don't understand how they relate to the old, to the new and so I find a lot of Catholics will say things like, "I just don't know about this God of the Old Testament" The way Paul views the new covenant isn't simply what happened after Jesus or after the Old Testament, rather the new covenant is rooted in the old as it's flowering, as it's fulfillment.
