The Real Estate Market Isn't Going to Fail, Is It?
In the last 20 years, institutional investor purchase activity has been between roughly three and six percent of all transactions in a given year. A study by MetLife Investment says they might increase their holdings from 5% to 40% of rentals by 2030. If we got above 10%, you would see government regulations come flying out of DC and state houses everywhere, trying to tamp things down. So I can't imagine a scenario where that happens.
